Retiring....

Well as usual when Matt and Charlie get together, they try to solve the world's problems.

Today Matt told Charlie that he wants his Dad (Matt's) to retire and he won't. Charlie responded by telling Matt that you can't make someone retire.

I don't know where they get these things. My father is retired and as far as they're concerned, retirement means not working. Oh goodness, wouldn't that be nice!!!

Tonight I sent Matt to his room right after dinner for bad behavior. It turned into a whole sobbing fit and once again, he got on the retirement kick. He can be like a broken record sometimes, relentless too. He said he just wanted his Dad to retire so he could play with him. Matt's sure got a knack for making you feel bad. I didn't give in. He fell asleep and that was it. Seriously, though wouldn't it be nice to retire now, still collect a pay check and enjoy yourself?
