A highlight of our vacation, for me, was blueberry picking.
I haven't done this since I was a little girl, picking blueberries
at my grandmother's house.
This is one of my favorite memories,
as I could never wait for July to pick go blueberry picking
at my grandmother's.
We actually went twice on our vacation and fortunately we will have blueberries,
(which I froze) until Thanksgiving.
The boys enjoyed this outing,
and I think more went in Matt's mouth than his bucket!

Some of my fondest memories of growing up are of trips to the strawberry patch and to the apple orchard. I am so glad that those opportunities still exist and that your boys got to experience it - a wonderful reminder that nature is amazing and there are amazing things beyond technology and gadgets!
I didn't even know blueberries grew on trees! We have blackberry bushes galore here so I guess I just thought they grew on bushes...
I wonder if they have them around these parts, cause that looks FUN!
I would be in heaven--I cannot get enough of blueberries. I hope you got around to reading "Blueberries for Sal." One of my all-time faves.
My kids loved berry picking this July I think we will make it an annual event.

How fun! I've never gone berry picking. How crazy is that? I know we have tons of strawberry fields around here, I should start a tradition, the girls would love it!

I just LOVE berry pickin! We went blueberry picking last month and will be blackberry picking with the kids in the next week or two. I just love doing that too.
