I was so looking forward to getting some
nice shots of the boys after dinner.
I got them ready, and we headed across to the beach.
I promised it would be quick and
we could get ice cream afterwards.
Apparently my bribe was not good enough.
They were beyond goofy,
knowing exactly how to press my buttons.
I know a bit of psychology works when
photographing children,
but I think everything goes out the window when
the children are your own!

I can feel your pain. I am almost ready to do a photo swap with another photographer. I snap her kids if she'll snap Sugar.

I think you got some great shots though. And at least it did not thunder (like it did here, right before sunset, grr).
Well at least they weren't crying or running away!!!! Isn't it frustrating when we have OUR plans all laid out and then that little toot can change it up in just a single second. Those little rascals. But it seems you got some really good shots anyway. Your boys are so handsome, I hope you were still pleased. (Even if you did want to pinch their little heads off!!!)

Are you kidding me? Those are great shots; those shots are so THEM (I think). That first one of John is incredible! And the ones of Matt? Well, from the way I "know" Matt in my mind, they are TOTALLY Matt. I love them. You are really talented, Amy JEAN.

looks like you did great, even if you weren't up on the psychology of your kids... those are great shots!! i can only get my oldest to do what i want... the little one, she's not bribe-able yet!
Goofy or not, they sure are handsome, and the pictures turned out great!
