He's a card carrying member...
of a library card that is. Today I took the boys to the library and John got his first library card. While milestones don't happen that frequently at his age, today was one for sure. He was so excited and proud to receive his library card. He printed his full name on the form and then he received his card. Afterwards he told me that he might need a wallet to carry with him now!!! I don't know who was more silly - him for needing the wallet or me for bringing my camera for the occasion! In any event I am happy to document this day. Regarding the wallet, if it makes him happy, that's fine!

Congratulations to your handsome John on his library card; I am still proud of mine! It's funny, Amy, but I still remember feeling that way when I got my first library card, too, right at about the same age as John is now. It IS a big deal. And deserving of a wallet, definitely :)! The only thing cooler than having a library card to put in your wallet is filling out the ID card that comes inside the new wallet! Be sure to take pix of the wallet, okay? Gosh, he's just such a handsome kid! And I still wanna know about your camera...

I think it was great that you had your camera and snapped off some pics. I mean, there are people who brag about never being in a library--ever! Such a sad comment on their life, isn't it. I'm a library HOUND! I mean, come on, FREE books!

My Taylor loves to use her library card, i think it makes her feel like a big girl or something, she loves to go and look at all the books and video's.
