I am just not buying it....

global warming, that is! John has played four base-ball games in the last eight days. The out-door temperature for three of those games was less than 50 degrees. Isn't it May - almost half way through May? Clearly we are not warming here. I do not know all the scientific information regarding this, but my body knows that it is freezing here. My heat is still pumping, and we were dawning winter attire tonight, including hats and gloves! Mr. Heat Miser, where are you? Al Gore, I dare you to come sit through a base -ball game with me (well not with me, but here!) I guarantee you will be freezing your fat arse off too!

I'm with ya on this one. My father in law told me he heard on the radio today with the last two winters, there is more polar ice than ever recorded. That is not to say much of that will not melt with a hot summer, but I don't feel it here. I will say, however, that cold temperatures (IN THE WINTER) are to be expected and good for the lifecycles of most of the earth around here. I am just having a hard time with this continuation into MAY!

Ok, there's this weird phenomenon with warming that causes a cool summer. The summer "Frankenstein" was written, for example, England underwent a lack of warm temperatures and just had miserable cold dampness. Anyway, you can totally google it. I'm full of useless knowledge.

Wishing you some warmer weather... FAST.....

You're right...something has got to be going on. We are way below average temp right now. I am so sick and tired of it. I wore layers today. Not good.

I totally agree with you on this one! It has been hella-cold this winter and we've not had much of a spring.
Thank you for the kind words, BTW - you are so sweet to me:)

BWAHAHAHAHA--Amy JEAN Kelly, you always have a way of putting into words exactly what I've been thinking--including Al and his fat arse :)! Our local (and highly-esteemed, HA!) meteorologists are saying that MAYBE, POSSIBLY the temps MIGHT get close to 70 later on in the week. But, given their not-so-stellar weather predicting capabilities so far, I'm not counting on it. IT IS FREAKIN' MAY, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. It's just not right when the little kids playing baseball need hand warmers :)!

The fun part about all the "science" behind this is that today, there is more ice on the polar caps than there was 1 year ago.

If you look at the magazines from the late 70's, the biggest concern was Global Cooling...

We just don't know enough about the Earth's temperature to make global sweeping changes.

Same in my neck of the woods! Vancouver will get one t-shirt day followed by ten days of cold and rain :( It sucks.

Well it's in the 50s here to. BUT, it is supposed to be in the 90s by Friday! 90s! It isn't usually that hot here in the height of summer! Aaack! I don't even know what to do since we don't have A/C. Maybe start opening up all the windows now????

I know what you mean. I brag in the winter about San Diego, but it was FREEZING here all last week.

Cheers to the sunshine!

I just got done watching the news and it doesn't look very promising here. I am really for the wind chill to be gone, that would be nice.

HA! I love this ... you are too funny.

This past winter we had such cold weather it was awful ... freezing temps and a lot of ice. I say bring on the Global Warming! Lets warm things up 5degrees. :) lol
